Cooling systems for electronic systems with phase change operating in the thermodynamic "Maisotsenki" cycle

Prof. Więcek

Introduction

System cooling is an important problem in modern electronics. Among the most typical solutions that allow heat to be dissipated from the surface of electronic circuits to the environment is the use of a heat sink with forced gas or liquid flow.

Project funded by the National Science Centre Poland, grant no. 2022/45/B/ST7/02820 in years 2023–2025

Investigators

Bogusław Więcek (principal investigator)
Co-principal investigator: Marcin Kałuża, Mariusz Felczak, Robert Olbrycht, Dmytro Levchenko

Expected impact

Based on the simulation results, a real cooling system will be built. It will be tested using a fast cooled thermal imaging camera. The results of the project will enable the development of the optimal design of IREC systems for cooling electronic circuits and systems, which may lead to their use on an industrial scale.
