A group of scientists from the Institute of Electronics, working with P. Prof. Paolo Di Barba from the University of Pavia conducts research on the application of automatic optimization algorithms to problems of computational electromagnetism.
KIDE 2022 Kaohsiung International Invention and Design EXPO took place on December 1-3, 2022 in Taiwan. It is one of the biggest expositions in Asia. This fair allows you to present research, ideas and exchange views with participants from over 28 countries.
During KIDE 2022, a new method for measuring the effective value of current especially in cables and power wires of LV and MV networks was presented.
The invention was developed by prof. Boguslaw Więcek and Blazej Torzyk. The presented method was appreciated by the organizers. Our scientists received the KIDE award - the silver medal of the fair.
We have recently purchased a new hardware for our research and educational activities. The Emotiv EPOC Flex device is a 32-channel, wireless EEG recorder. The equipment that enriches the EEG Laboratory's offer is currently used in a study on the impact of energy drinks on the time and concentration ability of the people consuming them. The B.Sc. thesis entitled "Analysis and comparison of changes in the EEG signal and heart rate variability signals recorded in response to the consumption of selected energy drinks" is carried out under the supervision of Dr. Paweł Poryzała and Dr. Aleksandra Królak.
We are pleased to announce that our colleague, Prof. Michał Strzelecki, in recognition of his achievements in the field of medical imaging and in the development of biomedical image processing and analysis methods, has been elected a member of the Committee of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
We are pleased to announce that in recognition of many years of work and merits for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) prof. dr hab. Eng. Andrzej Materka was given the distinguished Life Senior Member status of the world's largest association of electronics and electricians.
Congratulations and we wish you further scientific successes and contribution to the development of IEEE.
