Piotr M. Szczypiński

Biography

Piotr M. Szczypinski received his M.Sc. degree in electronics and telecommunications at the Lodz University of Technology (LUT) in 1995, Ph.D. degree in digital image processing at the same university in 2001 and his D.Sc. degree in biocybernetics and biomedical engineering at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science, Silesian University of Technology in 2013. Currently Dr. Szczypinski is an associate professor at the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering, LUT. His research interests include deformable models applied to image segmentation and to object recognition, computer analysis of biomedical images for medical diagnosis, and computer vision applications for food quality assessment.
